3rd Annual Kids Run 2!

The 3^rd Annual Kids Run 2! event is set for Saturday, June 11 at Rockand Lake State Park.

The event, hosted by the Clarkstown Council of PTAs and Nyack School District PTAs, provides families in both districts and the surrounding communities with the opportunity to share a fun filled day of fitness, camaraderie, and healthy information. It is also a “fun fundraising event,” where support is sought from local businesses by way of donations and/or grants, particularly those companies who share like-minded views on the important role of health and fitness for the children of the community.

Kids Run 2! hit the ground running in its inaugural year (2009) with more than 900 participants. The last two years saw the addition of two more schools and the number swell to over 1,300 participants.

Contributions benefit the 16 participant Clarkstown Council of PTAs and Nyack School District PTA's and ultimately the students and families of our community. PTAs are tax exempt non profit organization.

Registration is closed for participating in the run/walk, but people are  encouraged to come and see the excitement surrounding the event and consider advancing personal and business sponsorship opportunities. The festivities commence at 8:30 a.m., and access to the Rockland Lake #1 parking lot is free only upon arrival prior to 8 a.m. Featured is a Health and Fitness Clinic from 8-11 a.m. with the 2 mile Fun Run Walk at 9 a.m.
