Dog Walk to Benefit Hi Tor Animal Care Center.
Joseph Pentangelo, one of the stars of Animal Planet's "Animal Precinct" will be cutting the ribbon and sending Barktoberfest 2010 walkers on a spectacular wooded 1 mile trail at Kakiat Park in Suffern to benefit Hi Tor Animal Care Center's spay/neuter medical fund. The event will take place on Sunday, October 17 with activities running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. The Dog Walk starts at 10 a.m. with Hi Tor alumni leading the way! After the procession, join us for fun and games such as musical chairs for owners and their dogs. Vendors, a microchip clinic, K9 demonstration, face painting, goody bags for walkers , raffles as well as "Ask the Trainer" and "Ask the Vet" tables are just a few of activities planned for the day. A 15" LCD TV will be awarded to the top fund raiser! The winning dog will be crowned King or Queen of the walk and his/her own special prize will include a wonderful basket of goodies as well as a grooming and pet psychic reading! More great prizes will be awarded to the winners of our costume and other contests of the day. Dog lovers are encouraged to register for the walk and get pledges of support from family and friends.
