Produce Pete of Weekend Today on WNBC in NY Will Visit Bounce! to Talk to Kids About How to Choose Healthy Fruits & Vegetables

Produce Pete, aka Pete Napolitano, from Weekend Today on WNBC in New York will visit Bounce! Trampoline Sports Thursday, February 7th AT 6:30pm to talk to the kids in the Have Fun Get Fit class about how to choose fruits and vegetables and how to know what's ripe and in season and what isn't. All are welcome and there is no charge to attend. The event is part of the Healthy Living Workshop Series that Bounce! Trampoline Sports is running in conjunction with its Have Fun Get Fit program for teens. The program has been expanded to include free healthy workshops for anyone who wishes to attend. There is never a fee for the workshops.

Produce Pete has appeared on NBC on the Weekend Today in New York show since 1992 informing the NBC audience about the proper way to select fruits and vegetables. Pete has been in the produce business his whole life, and started by selling produce off the back of a truck at auctions and at his parents' roadside stand. He has also appeared on WORTV, Discovery Channel, CNBC, ABC’s View and NBC’s Today Show as well as many international programs.

Because of obesity and fast foods in schools Pete has been asked to speak at numerous schools about healthy eating and his love for produce. Over the past 55 years he has developed and exchanged recipes with thousands of ‘interesting people’ and published a book titled, “Produce Pete’s Farmacopeia.”
