An integral element in the tradition and culture of Rockland Community College is supporting community volunteerism. For over 20 years, RCC students have funded and hosted a blood drive each Fall and Spring semester, with donations going to Good Samaritan Hospital for the last 10 years. This year, a Summer Blood Drive has been added and the public is invited and encouraged to participate.
The drive will be held in the Student Union, Rooms 3214, 3217 (second floor). Typically, RCC blood drives collect over 80 pints. On a national and local level, the need for blood does not go down in the summer, but donations do.
