The 2012 Rockland Community College Sports Hall of Fame Dinner will take place Saturday, January 21, at the Italian-American Social Club in West Haverstraw. Festivities will get underway at 7 p.m. with a cocktail hour.
Among this year’s inductees are:
Emil Willis
Since 1969, Willis has served as an Athletic Coach, Instructor, Camp Director and Chairperson for the Physical Education Department at RCC.

Tom McNamara
An All-Conference baseball player at RCC, McNamara later played at Dominican College and briefly for the Seattle Mariners organization. He is now the Director of Amateur Scouting for the Mariners.
Jack Watson
Dr. Jack Watson is a Professor of Sport and Exercise Psychology and Chair of the Department of Sport Sciences at West Virginia University. At RCC he was a member of the Golf Team and qualified for the NJCAA National Championship twice, and earned All-America honors.

Joe Romano
A longtime successful soccer coach at Goshen High School, Romano was a member of the RCC soccer team in the early 1960s.
In addition to the 2012 inductees, many past Hall of Fame inductees will be given recognition for their contributions to RCC Athletics.
There will also be a special award presented to Chief Clarke Osborn of the Suffern Police Department. The Dr. Cliff L. Wood service award is now in its second year, and is presented to an RCC graduate who exemplifies outstanding community service. Osborn follows last year’s recipient, Howard Hellman.
