Support Our Troops Day 2011  

SOUTH VIKINGS & NEW CITY RAMS FOOTBALL & CHEER WILL ADOPT-A-PLATOON!

Saturday October 1, 2011 at 3:00 p.m., South HS

The Adopt-A-Platoon program is being run and overseen by Pamela and Jack Kaufman and all donations will be delivered to West Nyack US Post Office where they will be boxed up and sent overseas. We encourage all of the players and cheerleaders to submit pictures and personal or team letters to be included in the packages.

South Vikings Varsity vs. Fox Lane Varsity at Clarkstown South High School, the NCR Cheer will be cheering with the South Cheer, Freshman football and the NCR Players will be collecting donations, all will participate in opening events (TBD)– it will be a great day!

The items mentioned are only suggestions for your donations:

• Individual Size Snacks – Nuts, Energy or Granola Bars, Candy, Crackers, Small Canned Fruit (pop-top), Sugarless Gum, etc (please no chips due to breakage)
• Playing Cards, Travel Size Checkers & Chess, Puzzles in Soft Cover Books, Magazines, etc.
• Products to be used with water – Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Lemonade, Cup-a-Noodles, packets of hot sauce to add flavor to food, etc.
• Shampoo, Deodorant, Q-Tips, Eye Lubricants. Lip Balms, Toothbrushes, Floss, Toothpaste, Travel Size Mouthwash, Sunscreen, Skin Moisturizers, Lotions, Foot Spray, Nail Clippers, Band Aids, Shaving Cream, Disposable Razors, Travel Size Feminine Products, Baby Wipes, etc.

BRING ALL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE FIELD ON 10/1/11!

Should you like to make a donation for shipping the boxes, please drop a check in the amount of $12.95 made payable to “Postmaster West Nyack” and drop it off at the post office.
