
CLARKSTOWN, NY — A Schenectady man was arrested after a one-car accident on the Thruway. He faces a felony drunken-driving charge due to a prior DWI conviction in the past 10 years.
At 2:36 p.m. March 22, New York state police responded to a one car motor vehicle accident on I-87 in the village of Hillburn, where they concluded the uninjured driver, Navindra Tejsingh, 26, was intoxicated.
Tejsingh was arrested, transported, and processed at state police barracks in Tarrytown, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be .20 percent, more than twice the legal limit. Additionally, Tejsingh has a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years.

He was subsequently charged with the Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a Class E Felony and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations. Tejsingh was arraigned before the Town of Clarkstown Court and sent to Rockland County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.
