Fuel Spill Cleaned Up After Morning Mess On I-87 In Rockland
It took almost five hours to get all lanes on the southbound Thruway opened.
After an accident closed lanes and snarled morning rush hour traffic on the southbound New York State Thruway in Rockland County, all lanes are now open, state transportation officials report.
It took almost six hours to clean up, because a tractor-trailer accident resulted in a fuel spill. Up to two lanes were closed at the height of the incident, which took place between Exit 15 and Exit 14B.
