Glaudin Arraigned In Rockland County Court
Glaudin faces a charge of second-degree murder, a class A felony, over the death of library security guard Sandra Wilson.

NEW CITY, NY — Blanchard Glaudin, the homeless man accused of killing a library security guard who told him to turn down his music, was arraigned in Rockland County Court on Thursday. Glaudin faces a charge of second-degree murder, a class A felony, over the death of Sandra Wilson on Feb. 18 at Finkelstein Memorial Library in Spring Valley.
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh, II said Glaudin was arraigned in front of Hon. Larry Schwartz, Rockland County Court Judge, and remanded without bail to the Rockland County Jail.
A competency evaluation was ordered to determine whether Glaudin is currently competent to assist in his own defense at trial.

Glaudin had been in and out of hospital and jail in 2019.
The case was adjourned for a court conference to March 10.

"We will not rest until we can bring some closure to the Wilson family," Walsh said. "The people of Rockland demand justice!"
Glaudin faces a maximum of 25 years to life in state prison, if convicted. First Assistant District Attorney Dominic Crispino is prosecuting the case.
Glaudin was arraigned in Spring Valley Village Court Feb. 18. A Rockland County grand jury indicted him two days ago.
