Headless Horseman
This Halloween attraction in Ulster Park bills itself as a "New York Nightmare." For 2021 the Hayride will be replaced with a Haunted Walking Trail plus 9 Additional Attractions. New this year: The Haunting of Pumpkin Jack. Get tickets here.
The Dark House
Intense, immersive, for visitors 14 and up unless accompanied by a guardian. At the Philipstown Depot Theater in Garrison, at the Garrison Metro-North station. Proof of vaccination or same-day negative COVID-19 test required. Wear a mask. Advance tickets only.
An immersive retelling of the Salem Witch Trials in Warwick over an acre of space in Lewis Park, as well as inside the historic Old School Baptist Meeting House. The audience can get right in the middle of the accusations and trials that became one of Colonial America’s most notorious cases of mass hysteria. Move freely throughout the space to experience the story in whatever order you choose. Take a break from the performance and drink in the colonial-era tavern alongside the residents of Salem Village (drink tickets available at the door). Cryptic Souls
Also in Warwick, this community haunted house is open 10/29-10/31 from 6-10 pm in 2021. Admission is free but donations are accepted at the door with a suggestion of $5 per person. This year it's all new.
