Jawonio Receives $1000 donation from "Nancy's Place"

Donation from Nancy's Place makes donation to Jawonio Capital Campaign for children with special needs

Yesterday, Joe Allen, presented a $1000 Capital Campaign donation to CEO Jill Warner earmarked for the new Early Intervention Suite In the new Jawonio building. The fund started by Allen is in honor of his late wife, Nancy, through the Rockland Community Foundation. It is appropriately named "Nancy's Place."

In accepting the donation, Jill Warner said, "This contribution will not only support our newly designed early intervention suite but, most critically give our families with infants and toddlers, the supports, therapies and inspiration they need to reach their highest potential."

Allen responded, "Without question the work and mission of Jawonio has been to raise people up, especially our children. Nancy's Place funds are about building hope, creating opportunities and a special focus in support of children facing challenges." As a long-standing Rockland non profit leader, Allen said, "I know Nancy would be overjoyed knowing that our contribution will go to the miraculous work of Jawonio. We hope that the Nancy's Place fund will inspire others to support our most vulnerable children.
