Letter to the Editor

The CEO of Homes for Heroes thanks United Water and invites the public to its annual Classic Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show Sept. 14.

Dear Editor,

I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for United Water’s continued support of Homes For Heroes in Tappan.

Earlier this year, United Water’s “Care to Share Awards Program” awarded a $1,500.00 grant to Homes For Heroes. In addition to the generous grant, United Water’s employees have volunteered hundreds of hours to help with the landscaping and other chores on the property at the former location of Camp Shanks.

United Water’s contributions will help us to fulfill our mission of providing safe, dignified and supportive rental apartment homes for honorably discharged men and women who are disabled or displaced by physical or mental wounds acquired in military service. The Board of Directors is committed to completing this important project and serving a most deserving group of military veterans.

In addition, United Water will also host the 15th Annual Classic Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show on Sunday, Sept. 14th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its office at 360 West Nyack Road in West Nyack. All proceeds from the show will be donated to Homes For Heroes. For more information about the show, please visit www.RocklandHomesForHeroes.com.
