Local Departments Fight House Fire In Valley Cottage

VALLEY COTTAGE, NY — Christian Herald Road was closed for several hours while several local fire departments fought a fire Tuesday afternoon.

The Valley Cottage Fire Department along with members of the Congers Fire Department, Nyack Fire Department and Central Nyack Fire Department responded to 450 Christian Herald Road and extinguished the blaze. Rockland Paramedics, Congers-Valley Cottage Ambulance and Nyack Community Ambulance were there for assistance.

No injuries were reported, Clarkstown police said. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
