Mom, Child Injured In Crash; Mom Charged
Police said she was impaired by drugs at the time of the head-on collision.

RAMAPO, NY — A head-on collision Wednesday in Ramapo led to a felony drugged-driving charge for a Spring Valley resident. The 55-year-old was charged with driving while ability impaired.
She and her child were taken to Westchester Medical Center with injuries. The occupants of the other vehicle were taken to Nyack Hospital.
Route 45 was closed for about an hour while officers conducted their investigation. Police were was assisted by Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps, Rockland Paramedic Services, Rockland Mobile Care and Hillcrest Fire Company No. 1.
