New City Dog Washers Raise Money for Hi-Tor

Two local girls are donating to the animal shelter as part of their Mitzvah project.

NEW CITY, NY — Two local girls organized a doggie wash from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. Saturday to raise funds for Hi-Tor Animal Shelter. Olivia Leahy and Samantha Hough did the sudsy work as part of their Mitzvah project. Both are 12 years old and attend Felix Festa Middle School.

The turnout was fantastic, said Samantha's mom Amy Hough. The girls gave baths to over 30 local dogs raised over $400 for Hi-Tor.
