New City Election 2017: Results
The community voted on local elections and state propositions.

NEW CITY, NY — Residents hit the polls and voted for various local positions. One of the most contentious races, for County Executive, saw incumbent Ed Day seriously challenged by Democrat Maureen Porette, who ended up picking up 43 percent of the vote. In the other contentious race, Clarkstown incumbent Supervisor George Hoehmann staved off the challenge from the town's fired police chief, Michael Sullivan.
