New City Resident Faces DWI Charge: State Police
New York State Police from Troop 5 conducted a drunk and impaired driving crackdown over the Jan. 6-7 weekend.

NEW CITY, NY — New York State Police from Troop 5 conducted a drunk and impaired driving crackdown over the Jan. 6-7 weekend. Among the 20 people arrested were four Rockland residents, including one from New City.
- On January 6, 2018, State Police Haverstraw, arrested Oscar Soto, 47, of Garnerville, NY for DWI. He was traveling on the Palisades Insterstate Parkway in the town of Ramapo when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
- On January 6, 2018, State Police Haverstraw, arrested Lennie Walker-Molina, 47, of Nanuet, NY for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 59 in the village of Nyack when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
- On January 7, 2018, State Police Liberty, arrested Noel Jones, 61, of New City, NY for DWI. Troopers responded to a vehicle crash on State Route 17 in the town of Thompson. Upon interviewing the operator of the vehicle, troopers determined that he was imparied by alcohol and subsequently arrested.
- On January 7, 2018, State Police Haverstraw, arrested Misael Velasquez, 23, of Nyack, NY for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 202 in the town of Haverstraw when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
