New City Scout Creates Rec Area at Joe Raso House for Eagle Project

NEW CITY - Sean Patrick Doherty became the newest Eagle Scout in Troop 78 at a ceremony at the American Legion on April 24.

Clarkstown town Supervisor George Hoehmann said he was honored to attend along with Councilwoman Valerie Moldow.

As a young person, Sean had the unfortunate experience of losing a loved one to cancer, Hoehmann said. So, in turn for his Eagle Project, he decided to help those facing terminal illness and created an outdoor recreation area at the Hospice of Rockland Joe Raso House.
