New Vocies Added to Cornell Cooperative Extension's Board

New Board Members Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County

Stony Point, NY Last week the Board of Directors of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County welcomed two new Board members: Dr. Ann Barry and Mr. Pradeep Bhashyam. Each will begin a three-year term on the Board.

Dr. Barry earned a B. S. in Chemistry, a M.S. in Biology and Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Physiology and received a post-doctoral research fellowship in heart failure. She spent her career at Pfizer Inc. in business development and clinical research. Upon retirement, she became a Master Gardener and avid volunteer at CCE. Among other issues, Dr. Barry has focused on invasive species and lead the 2017 Invasive Species Blockbuster training and survey in Rockland.

Pradeep Bhashyam brings a financial perspective to CCE. Mr. Bhashyam earned a B.S. and a MBA from the India Institute of Management. He became a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Consultant. He is currently employed as a Financial Advisor for Ameriprise and American Express. He is interested in serving on the Board to give back to the County and his community where he has lived since 1993.

The Board also installed John Fellas as president for 2018. His dedication to CCE is renown: Mr. Fellas has served as Board president twice before in the past 20+ years. We look forward to growing CCE under his leadership.

The Board has two openings for people who would like to advance our mission of bringing research-based information to County residents to help improve their lives and their communities. To learn more, contact Suzanne Barclay at (845) 429-7085.
