Northern Riverview's Halloween Was "Spooktacular"!
Residents Were in Costumes, Played Games and Had Delicious Chocolate Halloween Cake

Now that the post-Covid age is here, residents at Northern Riverview in Haverstraw fully enjoyed themselves this Halloween, having a “spooktacular” time!

Lori Silverstein’s Recreation Department in their cozy 180-bed nursing and rehabilitation center on Route 9W had the residents create handheld happy “puffy ghosts” which they can hang up in their rooms. What's more is that she had a pumpkin bean-bag throwing toss in the dining room and the residents laughed as they tried to get the bean bag through the pumpkins mouth. They simply loved it!

With so many activities, the residents had an appetite for delicious chocolate Halloween cake.

"Halloween was really great this year!" said Silverstein. "They loved dressing up, playing pumpkin bean-bag throw and creating Halloween decorations. Everywhere you went they were all laughing."

Now the residents are looking to enjoy the rest of the holiday season, with so many activities planned for Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
