NYSP: Teen Passenger On I-87 Gave Fake Name In Rockland Stop

It turned out she was wanted by an upstate police department, troopers alleged.

CLARKSTOWN, NY — A woman who gave state troopers a fake name when a car she was riding in was stopped on the New York Thruway Oct. 1 faces three new charges.

The old charge she faces is in Schenectady, to whose police force she was turned over after troopers booked her on Criminal Impersonation 2nd degree, a Class A Misdemeanor; Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree, a Class A Misdemeanor; and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation.

The car was stopped at 11:43 p.m. Oct. 1. The passenger, Yani Hundley, 19, provided the trooper with a false name, police allege. The NYSP determined that Hundley was wanted by the City of Schenectady Police Department for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.

Hundley was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Clarkstown Court on Nov. 18 and turned over to Schenectady police.
