Officer Injured, Rockland Woman Charged With DWI

She is accused of crashing into a county patrol car.

NEW CITY, NY — A Nanuet resident crashed into a Rockland County Sheriff's Office patrol car after running a red light early Thursday, police said. The officer was injured and the woman faces charges.

Marissa Ann Goldin, 19, ran a red light on Main Street in New City at 12:36 a.m. Thursday and struck a marked county patrol car, police allege.

The officer was taken to Nyack Hospital. He was treated and released to be seen by a specialist, said Rockland Sheriff Louis Falco.

Goldin was given a series of sobriety tests and police concluded that she was intoxicated, the sheriff's office said.

Goldin was arrested, processed and released to appear at the Town of Clarkstown Justice Court on Feb. 6.
