Oops: Ignoring Barriers, Driver Finds Huge Sinkhole
The road really was closed for a good reason!
Ramapo police issued a practical reminder to motorists -- don’t ignore signs and signals such as barricades or “Road Closed” signs.
They also issued a bunch of tickets to a heedless driver Saturday morning who swerved around barricades and cones on Saddle River Road only to land in a massive sinkhole caused by a water main break.
We’re glad he didn’t hit one of the workers out there in the freezing cold repairing the water main.
