Palisades Parkway Closure to Continue Till Sept. 15

A full closure of the southbound Palisades Interstate Parkway between Exit 18 (Route 6) and Exit 15 (Old Gate Hill Road) is expected to occur weeknights beginning Monday until Sept. 15. Crews will continue to perform construction activities, weather permitting.

The closures will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. Also, a single southbound lane is expected to remain closed until 10 a.m. on Saturdays during this time.

In addition, southbound single lane closures in this location are also expected on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Northbound single lane closures on the Parkway are expected to continue as well.

They will be daily, Monday through Thursday between Exit 13 (Route 202) and Exit 18 (Route 6) from 8 p.m. to noon.

Follow the signed detour for the full southbound closure, and anticipate delays during the single lane closures.

Use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
