Police Dispatchers To Be Honored Thursday In Rockland
The Rockland County Sheriff celebrates National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

Sheriff Louis Falco is pleased to announce the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office “3rd Annual Recognition Ceremony” celebrating “National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week”.
“Radio operators and dispatchers represent the first point of contact for people during times of intense personal crisis and community-wide disasters,” Sheriff Louis Falco said.

At the ceremony Sheriff Falco will express his appreciation and share with the public the excellent work the men and women of the Sheriff’s Office Communications Division, as well as the town and village police departments, are doing on a daily basis. According to Sheriff Falco. “Local and county public safety communication centers have emerged as the first point of contact for persons seeking relief during an emergency. It is essential that we recognize and celebrate the hard work of these dedicated professionals who help to ensure the safety of our communities”.
The ceremony will take place at 2:00pm on Thursday April 12 th , 2018 at the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division 911 Dispatch Center located at #35 Firemen’s Memorial Drive Pomona, NY 10970.
