UPDATE: Murder-Suicide Couple Owned the Property Where They Were Found

UPDATE—12 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016: Ramapo Police have not released the names of the Wesley Hills couple who are dead after a murder-suicide Thursday morning.

Lohud.com is reporting that the couple are owners of the property where they were found—John and Irene Lord.

Police said the wife was in bed when her husband shot her. He then turned the gun on himself.

A news conference is expected later Thursday.

Ramapo police said a murder-suicide occurred in Wesley Hills.

Police Chief Brad Weidel told lohud.com there were reports of shots fired near 2 Deerwood Rd. shortly after 7 a.m.

A woman was found dead at the scene and a man died while he was being taken to the hospital.
