More than 200 restaurants will be participating and with a new creative element to offer you.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — There will be more than 200 participating restaurants for the fall 2017 Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, which will run from Oct. 30 to Nov. 12. And there's a new creative element:
restaurants have the choice to showcase menus dedicated to purple produce.

Chefs can experiment with purple vegetables such as cauliflower, Japanese eggplant, potatoes, beets, kale, carrots, peppers and Brussels sprouts in appetizers, entrees and desserts, said Publisher of The Valley Table and Founder of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, Janet Crawshaw.

Covering 115 miles, Hudson Valley Restaurant Week provides diners with three-course, prix-fixe dinners for $32.95 and lunches for $22.95, from restaurants across Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Sullivan, Dutchess and Ulster counties. Featuring a global selection of cuisines and farm-to- table dishes the list of participating restaurants is now available here: hudsonvalleyrestaurantweek.com.

“We are excited to once again welcome the start of Restaurant Week in the Hudson Valley as we continue to promote the farmers, purveyors, chefs and restaurants that we are all so passionate about,” Crawshaw said. “We set out to challenge the chefs this year with the introduction of our new purple ingredient-theme menus and can’t wait for fall 2017 HVRW begins to hear what diners have to say about the change!”

More than 80 percent of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week’s participating chefs and restaurateurs use locally-sourced ingredients in support of area farms, winemakers, artisanal producers and purveyors.
