Ramapo- In response to Governor Cuomo’s recent release of the 2015-2016 budget, Dr. Cliff L. Wood, President of Rockland Community College, states, “I want to sincerely express my gratitude for the resources provided in Governor Cuomo’s budget, which allows us to continue to provide our community with high-quality academic programs. We are grateful for the Governor’s continued support for the Mid-Hudson Region’s Economic Development Council, and the ways this supports Rockland Community College’s efforts to bring together the training and educational resources that help strengthen regional economic development. In addition, this budget’s increase of $100 in state support for each student FTE (full-time equivalent), is of crucial importance in our continued ability to provide affordable and accessible academic programs. Of special note is the Governor’s new student loan relief program, Get on Your Feet, which will provide a two-year grace period for new graduates earning less than $50,000 a year.”
