Rockland County Community Remembers Former Chief Charles Bullock

Rockland County firefighters and police officers offered messages of condolence as they honored former Central Nyack Fire Chief Bullock.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY – Rockland County firefighters and police officers offered messages of condolence as they honored the memory of former Central Nyack Fire Chief Charles E. Bullock on Monday.

In messages posted to Facebook, the Clarkstown Police Department and Rockland County Volunteer Firefighters' Association announced the death of former chief Bullock.

Bullock was a member of the Central Nyack Fire Department for more than 50 years, the Volunteer Firefighters' Association said in the post. He served as chief from 1978-1979 and was a lifelong member of the Volunteer Firefighters' Association.

"RIP Chief Bullock, we will miss your friendship," the association said in the post. "We have it from here Charlie, well done our friend."

He was also a former Clarkstown Police officer in 1965, a Palisades Parkway State Police officer and retired New York State Police trooper, the Clarkstown Police said in their post.

"Charlie was a true gentleman and he will be profoundly missed by all that knew him," the department said in the post.
