Rockland DA Announces End Of Grand Jury Session

NEW CITY, NY — Twenty people were indicted in the 10th grand jury session of 2020, Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced Monday.

Since the lifting of Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Executive Orders that prohibited a grand jury to sit due to the coronavirus outbreak that shut down governments, businesses and schools in the spring, the Rockland County District Attorney's Office has been playing catch-up.

"As we still face hurdles from the COVID-19 pandemic, my office will continue to adapt to the challenges it brings," Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh said in an announcement. "I would like to thank Supervisor George Hoehmann for allowing us to use Town of Clarkstown facilities to complete the 10th grand jury term."

In the session starting Sept. 11, the grand jury handed up 17 indictments:
