Rockland Waterways Cleanup Events Scheduled

With the onset of cooler fall weather, it's time for improving Rockland County. Keep Rockland Beautiful's Fall Waterways Cleanup is registering volunteer to help.

The cleanup encourages hundreds of volunteers to beautify their communities and protect local waterways by following the mantra "Clean Streets = Clean Streams," according to organizers.

It offers groups of any size the opportunity to keep the waterways clean, protect wildlife and remove litter from the community before the winter weather covers it with snow.

Cleanups are scheduled to begin Saturday, Sept. 28 at L'Dor in New City.
