The Nor'Easter dumped rain and sleet across the Hudson Valley. Many school districts have delayed opening and canceled some activities. Below will be a list of school closings/delays for Tuesday provided by <a href="http://www.pamal.com/stormcenter/whud.php" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">WHUD</a> and other sources; we will add as news comes in. Albertus Magnus High School: three-hour delay. Also, morning math midterms are rescheduled for Friday. Afternoon exams will be administered as scheduled. We couldn't be more grateful to all the volunteers over the years who have helped beautify the 23-acre Jay Estate (wearing every color T-shirt from yellow to purple)!! From uncovering hidden flagstone paths, to raking leaves and planting annuals. We've participated in every I Love My Parks Day with Parks &amp; Trails NY and NY State Parks since 2012! Partner groups have included the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Mount Vernon Youth Bureau, Yale Alumni, Con Edison, Rye Neck School, Mamaroneck School, Stanford Alumni, the Rye Garden Club, Rye Sustainability Committee and many more.&nbsp;

Indigo Goodson-Fields is a writer, poet, and birder based in Brooklyn. Her forthcoming book, entitled Essential Birding is an anthology about the importance of birding in the lives of Black birders across the U.S. and will be published by OR Books in fall 2026.
