Rockland's Purchasing Director Honored
He recently received an award from the National Institute of Government Procurement.

NEW CITY, NY — Rockland County Purchasing Director Paul J. Brennan has achieved national recognition for his professional accomplishments serving the taxpayers of Rockland.
Brennan was awarded the highest honor from the National Institute of Government Procurement, the Albert H. Hall Memorial Award.
"He is steady and analytical in every approach to a challenge and is constant in his pursuit of enhancing the value of public procurement," Jack Adger, chair of the NIGP governing board of NIGP said as he presented Brennan with the award at a luncheon attended by more than 1,000 people. "He has an incessant passion for research, knowledge sharing, and benchmarks as a pathway for improving his operations at Rockland County."

Brennan has been Rockland's purchasing director for more than 22 years.
"The rest of the nation now knows what we in Rockland has known for a long time – Paul Brennan is an outstanding professional who never forgets that he is working for the best interests of the taxpayer," said Rockland County Executive Ed Day in his announcement about the award.
