Police Seek Man Who Kicks Cat In Video
The violent attack on a cat happened July 1 at a gas station in Atlanta, police say. Video of it was later uploaded to Instagram.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta Police are asking for the public's help catching a man who kicked a cat for sport, as well as whoever uploaded a video of the violent attack to social media. (See the video at the bottom of this story.)
The video, shared on social media by Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta, shows a man approach an orange cat like a football placekicker. As people can be heard apparently laughing and shouting in the background, the man kicks the cat, which flies through the air and lands on its back in a concrete parking lot.
Atlanta Police Department's animal cruelty officer says the video appears to have been created on July 1 in the parking lot of the Chevron gas station at 2465 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Atlanta. Police are searching for the man in the video, as well as the person who filmed the kick and uploaded it to the Web.
