Senior Year at Clarkstown North: It's a Picnic
North senior class comes together to celebrate start of their final year of high school.
If you were wondering where all the pizza was in New City Tuesday, seems like just about every slice was at Clarkstown North High School North for the annual Senior Picnic.
Seniors got a chance to hang out at the school soccer field for a fun outing organized by the student council.
School President Jordan Naft explained the planning that went into the event.

"We had to delegate a lot of different responsibilities: planning for the senior t-shirts, which are available for sign-up today, making posters, getting decorations and a lot more," Naft said.
The weather was beautiful all afternoon for the North seniors.

"It has been all good, everyone is having fun and everyone is unified and enjoying the sun," said Senior Class President Bruce Rubin.
"I wish we could do things like this more often, everyone is having such a good time," added Naft.
Student Council Advisors Christie Carroll and Shayne Confrey were also on hand to enjoy the day.
"The picnic is going great. Everyone comes together to help out and make this day happen," said Carroll.
"We get cooperation from the custodians, the Phys. Ed. Department gives us some equipment, teachers are helping out and of course student cooperation is important and they've been great," said Confrey.
Even Principal Harry Leonardatos was doing his part to help out. He played the role of security guard at the entrance of the ball field parking lot.
"This is a traditional event and it is important that the students get to participate and carry it on," said Leonardatos. "Each class is unique in their own way which is nice to see. At the end of the day the kids are going to take their 2011 class picture. They are going to line up to shape an eleven on the football field."
Students [seniors], teachers and faculty all enjoyed the day and look forward to spending one last year together.
