At approximately 5:37 AM, the Clarsktown Police Department received a call of a domestic incident with an injury. The caller, a neighbor, told dispatchers that his neighbor ran to his home asking him to call the police.
Responding patrol units found Ismael Alicea unresponsive inside a bedroom. Paramedics pronounced him dead at 5:58 AM.
The Rockland County Medical Examiner responded to the house, police said; initial investigation revealed the fatal injuries were caused by bludgeoning. The detective bureau is processing the scene and continuing the investigation into what officials called a ‘horrific incident.’
