State Police: Clarkstown Traffic Stop Leads to Heroin Bust
A West Haverstraw man is in custody.

Clarkstown, NY – At about 6:11 p.m. June 28, State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for multiple traffic violations.
During the Trooper’s investigation, the driver, Brian R. Estrella, 25, was found to be in possession of more than 1.5 ounces of heroin. The West Haverstraw resident was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Tarrytown, where he was subsequently charged with:

- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree; a Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree: Intent to Sell; a Class B Felony

Estrella was arraigned before the Town of Ramapo Court and remanded to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail or bond. He is schedule to reappear in the Town of Clarkstown Court on July 5.
