Stealing Construction Tools From Work Truck in New City
Clarkstown police have arrested a Spring Valley man.

SPRING VALLEY, NY — A Spring Valley man is accused of stealing construction tools from a work truck. The Clarkstown Police Department arrested Chad Weinstein, 33, on Aug. 2.
Police originally responded to a report of theft from a truck while parked in a parking lot on Squadron Boulevard in New City on June 22. The victim was working on a machine for a local business when someone approached the victim’s truck and stole several tools from the back of the truck. The stolen tools were valued at $5,000.
The Clarkstown Detective Bureau was able to obtain video evidence of the crime.

Weinstein turned himself in to the detective investigating the case and was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd (felony). Weinstein was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on Aug. 7.
