Teen Drowns In Harriman State Park
The New Jersey man and friends were swimming in a remote area.
ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — On Thursday July 20 New York State Park Police and local emergency personnel responded to a water submersion at Pine Meadow Lake in Harriman State Park.
Emergency responders pulled an 18-year-old from the water and immediately began CPR. Unfortunately, the man was not able to be resuscitated, state park police said.
The cause of death will be determined by the Rockland County medical examiner, state park police said. The identity of the New Jersey resident has not been released.

According to News 12, he was with a group of friends cliff-jumping and swimming in a remote area where no-swimming signs are posted.
