Temple Beth Sholom Promotes Kindness

This morning, the staff of Temple Beth Sholom met at Starbucks for an end-of-year get together. As a way of promoting kindness and generosity, we gave the cashier a gift card that paid for the orders of those behind us. As we drank our coffee and spent time together, we wanted to spread a bit of joy during the rainy weather. Currently, there are a number of congregations around the country that are also going into local Starbucks and doing what we did. The idea is to generate a sense of caring. Even though it is a simple act, we felt good about spreading a bit of sunshine during a rainy day.
