Tips for Preventing Car Break-ins: Clarkstown Police
Police have increased patrols in neighborhoods affected by a recent rash of thefts from cars.

NEW CITY, NY — Clarkstown police report that residents have not reported any car break-ins since they informed the public Nov. 16 about the recent rash of criminal activity.
"We continue to have an increased presence in the area," said Public Information Officer Peter Walker.

- Remove any valuables from your vehicle when you get out.
- Don't forget to lock your car.
- If you see anything suspicious in your neighborhood please call the Clarkstown Police Department immediately (845) 639-5800.
