PROGRAM: This class is suitable for adults wanting to learn to sew clothing as well as someone who wants a refresher course. Students will be taught how to read and fit a commercial sewing pattern and construct a garment of their choice. Sewing machines will be provided for use or bring your own. Students will be taught appropriate techniques for successful completion of their garment. Students must bring a garment pattern of their choice and fabric will be discussed during the first class.
ELIGIBLE: All Town of Clarkstown residents 19 years of age or older

DAY/TIME: Tuesdays, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
DATES: January 23, 2018 – March 6, 2018
(Holiday: February 20, 2018)
FEE: $100.00 (other materials will need to be purchased separately.
LOCATION: Street Community Center, 31 Zukor Road, New City
REGISTRATION: Registration is underway at the Administration Building, 31 Zukor Road, New City. The Clarkstown Parks Board and Recreation Commission is now using CommunityPass, a NEW online registration and payment service for all of its program registrations. You MUST create your CommunityPass Family Account in order to register. From any computer with an internet connection, go to https://register.communitypass.net/Clarkstown to create your Community Pass Family Account. Once your household is created, please come into the Recreation and Parks Office to prove your residency. If you own your home, please bring in your Driver’s License. If you are a renter, you MUST provide 3 forms of residency. Copy of Birth Certificate is required for anyone under the age of 18.
