Town of Clarkstown Foam Patterned Hand Puppet Class Winter 2019

Registration is underway!

SPONSORED AND

CONDUCTED BY: Clarkstown Parks Board and Recreation Commission in cooperation with Homeslice Puppetry

PROGRAM: In this class you will build a foam and rod patterned puppet in the “Muppet Style” of puppet making. Using a standard pattern as the base, you will construct a head with mouth plate, hands, arms and torso with arm rod controllers and learn the basics of covering the puppet in fabric, or with silicone skin. Adding eyes, ears, nose, hair and facial features will add the finishing touches that bring your creation to life and really give your puppet its character. Students will take home one professional puppet at the end of the program.
