Troop 78 Holds Eagle Scout Ceremony for Thomas James Fitzpatrick, III

Clarkstown South High School senior Thomas James Fitzpatrick, III of Troop 78 was named an Eagle Scout at Troop 78's recent Eagle Scout Court of Honor. His community service project would benefit children with special needs who attend the after-school Respite Programs at Camp Venture Day Habilitation Center in Sparkill.

Fitzpatrick raised the necessary funds to build and install a swing set and spread more than 40 yards of playground mulch outside the center for the children to enjoy.

“Congratulations to Thomas on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. His hard work is greatly appreciated by the children and families who utilize the outdoor play area at the Camp Venture site,” said County Executive Ed Day. “I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”
