UPDATE: Power Restoration Continues Monday for O&R, Central Hudson Customers

High winds in the forecast could cause more problems.

Power is coming back on for a number Hudson Valley customers, in the wake of the high winds Sunday.

Unfortunately, the region remains under a wind advisory through 6 p.m. Monday, so there remains the potential for more or extended outages.

As of Monday morning, O&R customers without power are down to 163 customers at 25 locations, according to a spokesman.

Orange County still has 102 customers without electricity. Rockland has 37 and Sullivan has 20.

For Central Hudson electricity customers, Ulster County remains the highest number, with 378 affected customers.

In the Town of Hurley, 165 customers are waiting for the lights to come back on. The estimated restoration time is 10:30 a.m. Monday.

Marbletown’s 98 customers have an estimated restoration time of 11 a.m.

In Dutchess County, the majority of the 98 customers still without power are in the City of Poughkeepsie, with 49 in the area around McCann golf course. There is no estimated restoration time yet.

Millbrook and North East have 12 and 19 outages, respectively. North East’s are estimated to be restored by noon Monday, while the situation in Millbrook is being reevaluated, according to the Central Hudson website.
