“Success means giving back,” Oswaldo said. “This recognition is not only for me, but for my family, my team, and everyone who believes in helping others. Together, we will continue building a stronger and more caring community.”

Oswaldo is especially proud to be the father of two children, ages 7 and 13, who inspire him every day to work harder and lead by example. He also credits his wife, Eva, as a dedicated and hardworking partner who stands beside him in their business and supports their community efforts.

Eva Carrera: Leading With Family, Strength and Service

Eva Carrera is a proud business owner, community supporter, and mother of two. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Eva comes from a Greek background that instilled in her strong values centered on family, hard work, and community.

Alongside her husband, Oswaldo, Eva operates Food Fair Supermarket in Spring Valley and is actively involved in its day-to-day operations. She supports their team and works to create a welcoming, high-quality experience for customers.

Giving back has always been important to Eva. She is passionate about supporting families and contributing to initiatives that strengthen the community.

Above all, Eva says her greatest pride is her family. Being a mother has shaped who she is and inspires her to lead with both love and strength in everything she does.

Together, Oswaldo and Eva Carrera embody the compassion, generosity, and commitment to service that inspired WCFR to name them its 2026 Humanitarians of the Year.
