Auto Salesman Shooting Now A Homicide
The 37-year-old who died of his injuries overnight has been identified by police.

WEST NYACK, NY — The victim of yesterday’s shooting at a used car lot on Route 59 succumbed to his injuries during the night, according to the Westchester County Medical Examiner. Clarkstown police identified him as Youbens Joseph, 37, of Middletown, Orange County.
The family has been notified, police said. The investigation into the homicide is continuing. Police said that at this point in the investigation, they believe it was the result of a dispute with a customer.
The shooting took place around 3 p.m. Saturday at Youbs Auto Sales at 357 Route 59 in West Nyack.

Officers who arrived first on the scene found Joseph had been shot in the torso. Rockland Paramedics and Nyack Ambulance responded and transported the victim to the hospital. He had been shot three times, and suffered major internal damage, police said.
The suspect was described to them as a male, black, wearing a dark colored ball cap with a beard and glasses. Police believe the suspect fled in an unknown vehicle.
