• DEC Announces Graduation of 17 New York State Forest Rangers (ny.gov) — Newcomb quietly plays a key role in New York's forest protection, serving as one of the main training grounds at Huntington Wildlife Forest for 17 newly graduated State Forest Rangers. These rangers completed six months of intensive rescue, wildfire, and law-enforcement training and will now be deployed statewide to safeguard public lands and outdoor visitors.
