Community Update

Regarding noise complaint at Walk Street Tavern:  first of all how do you dare compare the "sound" from Walk street to the "sound from Empire Billiards!  Empire Billiards had teens hanging out outside drunk, cursing, urinating, etcWalk Street Tavern is a neighborhood place where adults go for fooddrinks and music.  I have never seen disorderly conduct and no one hanging around outside. It so nice to have a place to go near home with friends. As far as the music goes it is only played until 10:00 and it is not extremely loud. Block parties are allowed to play music until 10:00  so what's the problem.  This reminds me of the cranky guy that lives across from NHP Memorial high school baseball field that has been complaining forever about hearing the ball hot the bat!  I guess he shouldn't have bought a house across from a school field.  Give me a break!  As for the cranky village of New Hyde Park you shouldn't have bought houses right next to Main Street!L. Buy near a cemetery and you can have all the quiet you want!!!  Some of us would like to LIVE and enjoy ourselves a little
If the ullage takes away the right to play music at Walk Street tavern I for one will NEVER EVER patronize another shop in the village again. I hope others will do the same!
