Armed Men Rob Bellerose Cellphone Store
The robbers fled the store with bags of electronics Tuesday night, police say.
Two armed men robbed a cellphone store in Bellerose Terrace and left the store with bags of stolen electronics Tuesday night, making this the third cellphone store robbery in a month, police say.
According to authorities, two men entered Verizon Wireless, located at 250-36 Jericho Turnpike, through the front door when one of the men displayed a silver handgun at 8:29 p.m.
The men forced two employees to the back of the storage area where they filled two large backpacks with an undetermined amount of electronic merchandise, police say.

The men fled on foot west on Jericho Turnpike with the proceeds. There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery and no injuries were reported.
This is the third cellphone store robbery in a month. A Westbury AT&T store was robbed Saturday, Aug. 6 and a Valley Stream T-Mobile store was robbed Thursday, Aug. 4.

Police described the first robber as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and wearing blue jeans, a black hooded shirt, black adidas sneakers and gloves. The second robber was described as black, 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a stocky build, and wearing camouflage shorts, a dark hooded shirt and gloves.
Detectives ask anyone with information about this robbery to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
